Shield
The key symbolizes command and control, the double bit in this instance alluding to the unit's former supply and service and maintenance missions. The sun, the source of energy, is also a measurement of time, and refers to accomplishment within the time scheduled or allotted. The key and sun together are symbolic of the means of successfully completing difficult tasks, the sun signifying technical knowledge and selection, and the key the mechanical skills essential to maintenance. The wavy blue bar refers to the Rhineland campaign, World War II, in which the unit participated as the 541st Quartermaster Battalion.
Crest
The camel, the ship of the desert, standing on the sand mound symbolizes the unit's campaign participation in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The palm tree represents the Meritorious Unit Commendations awarded to the unit for service in Southwest Asia.
The coat of arms was originally approved for the 541st Maintenance Battalion on 22 January 1996. It was redesignated for the 541st Support Battalion and amended to include a crest on 16 March 2006.
