Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a vertical gold double-warded key with its bow in base and its shank crossing a horizontal wavy blue bar all in front of a gold sun of sixteen rays.

Symbolism
The key symbolizes command and control, the double ward in this instance alluding to the unit's former supply and service and maintenance missions. The sun, the source of energy, is also a measurement of time, and refers to accomplishment within the time scheduled or allotted. The key and sun together are symbolic of the means of successfully completing difficult tasks, the sun signifying technical knowledge and selection, and the key the mechanical skills essential to maintenance. The wavy blue bar refers to the Rhineland campaign, World War II, in which the unit participated as the 541st Quartermaster Battalion.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 541st Supply and Service Battalion on 13 March 1967. It was redesignated for the 541st Maintenance Battalion on 30 August 1973. The insignia was redesignated for the 541st Support Battalion with the description and symbolism updated on 9 February 2006.

The coat of arms was originally approved for the 541st Maintenance Battalion on 22 January 1996. It was redesignated for the 541st Support Battalion and amended to include a crest on 16 March 2006.
